# Running your job locally
Running your job locally is easy. There a few restrictions with local jobs such as
* No session init
* Jobs must have a linear order
* Only valid fields are replace_string, job_name, mfilename, m_init, software, and program_options
* Cannot run in Octave without using software = none (subject to change)
* No pipeline/job based parallelism
# Before you run
Since this tutorial doesn't really provide a useful output and is more designed to just show you how to make a pipeline it doesn't really matter what data you use so long as it works.
