# Opening EEGLAB
Open Matlab and change your Current folder to our pipeline root directory by clicking on the folder you wish to change to. Your Matlab window should look similar to this
Open Matlab and change your current folder to our pipeline root directory by clicking on the folder you wish to change to. Your Matlab window should look similar to this:

Note that analysis, remote_archive, and remote_work are in the file explorer on the left not under another folder in a hierarchy .
In the **Command Window** type `eeg_init_path` or run pipeline_path.m from the file explorer by right clicking.
In the **Command Window** type `eeglab` which will set the path for eeglab and our plugins and open the eeglab window.
Next, in the **Command Window** type `eeglab` which will set the path for eeglab and our plugins and open the eeglab window.
Your window should look like this now
You should now see the following:
