# Epoching Data
Epoching data is useful as it allows you to explore the data in more ways. It is important to use the following way to epoch the data reather then the native EEGLAB method. This method does the exact same thing as the EEGLAB epoching except it understands the marks structure and will keep it intact.

Selecting this item will start the concatenation of the file epochs. This might might take a little longer than normal as EEGLAB is also dealing with any of the marks you have created.
